Missing ex-Today Tonight presenter Anna Coren?

Here’s Anna’s latest CNN report from Hong Kong, thanks to YouTube user dannewsvideo.

It’s a little disconcerting to watch Coren report on serious issues. Mook kept expecting a dodgy real estate agent or supermarket bargain hunter to pop up in reports about the Gaza Strip conflict.

A later story about “one baby’s high flying adventure into this world” (having been born on a commercial airplane on New Year’s Eve) is easy TT-like fare for Anna to negotiate.

She seems to settling into her new gig nicely, even if the post-bulletin banter with the local weatherman seems slightly strained.

No flowers for Anna Coren

Anna Coren left Today Tonight on Friday evening to take up a new challenge at CNN in Hong Kong.

Rumours abound that there’s no love lost between Coren and her Channel 7 bosses since she allegedly decided to jump ship without consulting them.

The fact that Coren left seven weeks earlier than originally planned and the lack of flowers (and champagne) on her last day appears to confirm those rumours are true.
